My Testimony

Hi, my name is Daniel. I grew up in a Christian home and I have many times committed my life to God. It started at age 6 in a rocking chair with my mom. And progressed from Vacation Bible School to commitments made in college. Each time I was sure that I wasn't in a real relationship with Jesus Christ in the past. I was very rebellious though. I was in a riot in 1999 at Michigan State University that changed the course of my life. I ended up in a mental hospital after being traumatized by jail. But my grades in college managed to hold together and even improve for awhile. By 2005, I barely managed to graduate, but I did. Then, things didn't go so well. I failed internship following college and had a second mental breakdown. The devil was attacking me and there was a place in my life for attack. I realized that I needed to finally cement a solid, loving relationship with the God of the Universe. I needed to take faith seriously. So I re-accepted Christ as my Savior in the Spring of 2006 and made Him the Lord of my life forever.

When I went to the hospital following my decision, I was eager to share the love of Christ with everyone around me. Now I have a sense of real joy and peace in my life. I may be on disability, but there is meaning to my life. I have a direction and a future as the Lord promises. In His Word, (The Bible), He says,

"God works out all things to the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose."
"For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future."

Many of you who post on this blog insist that you do have a relationship with God. It may be true. But keep in mind that the Bible says the road leading to everlasting (eternal) life is narrow and the road leading to destruction is wide. Many will come to the Lord on the day of judgment saying that they prophesied in God's name, that they raised the dead, that they cast out demons, that they did all kinds of things in the Lord's name, and Jesus will say to them, "Away from me you evildoers, I knew you not."

This could be you. Just like me, you could be well-meaning. You could have attended church your entire life, been involved in Christian ministries, and even started Christian online ministries like I did. But a real relationship with God is missing.

You have to know you're lost to be found.

Romans 3:23-24
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

We all deserve to be in Hell. We are all slowly dying. And every man is without excuse.

Romans 1:18-20

18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.[i] 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

But there is hope if we acknowledge our sin. We need to confess Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior by mouth and believe that Jesus was raised from the dead after dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus will not reject us if we approach Him. Cry out Him.

Romans 10:8-13

8 In fact, it says,

“The message is very close at hand;
it is on your lips and in your heart.”[d]

And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”[e] 12 Jew and Gentile[f] are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[g]

From here on, you begin a new life with God and live that new life with salvation securely with God in peace.

"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace."
